Some fans have sent in their success stories when writing to Orlando. If you are successful yourself, share your experience!
From Hannah:
i used the adress from this web page and was not really sure what to expect. i sent a picture i wanted autographed along with one for my sister and a letter congratulating him with his wonderful work this year. i posted them not expecting to get a reply and thought that was the end of that. after about 1 week i was sure i would not get anything in return and was quite sad.
after about 2 weeks i got a letter given to me after school one day. my mum said it had come just after i had gone to school. i opened it wondering what it could be and out fell my autographed pictures.
i knew straight away that they werent real, they were just printed but i was really happy with my result. i know how much fan mail actors like orlando get and was just thrilled that his mailing team sent me something back.

From LaughingHyena993:
I wrote to Orlando not too long ago, and in my letter, I enclosed two pictures from the Lord of the Rings, one to sign, and another to initial for a friend, and in addition I also put in a drawing I'd done on my own, of Legolas. I sent it off, honestly not too hopeful, because I'd read the address history of the addresses I wrote to, and most of them seemed to have a lot more Failures than Successes. I also wasn't sure I wanted to send my drawing somewhere where he might never see it, but I took the chance.
A week or two later, an envelope arrived, addressed to me. It was the SASE I'd included in my letter, and I was worried it would be a return to sender deal.
But it wasn't.
When I opened the letter, I found three things. One was a picture I'd sent to Orlando, which read at the bottom: For Velma, best wishes, Orlando Bloom, with two hearts. The next was the other picture I'd sent in, initialed as I'd asked with O.B. The third was a picture I hadn't sent, also one of Legolas, and it was fully autographed... I know they were stamped, because the writing shows through onto the back, and it is uneven in some places. I don't know; maybe the extra was a thank you for my drawing!
Orlando is really a great guy, who really appreciates his fans.
